Why air-to-air
2-in-1
Heating and cooling
One system replaces your heater in winter and your fan in summer. No separate appliances.
66–75%
Less CO₂ than fossil fuel heating
Every unit of electricity works up to five times harder than burning gas, oil, or LPG.
~half
The cost of air-to-water
Air-to-air systems cost roughly half the price of a full air-to-water heat pump installation.
1 day
Typical installation
No pipework, no radiator work. Most single or dual-room systems are installed in a single day.
How It Works
Heat from outside air, delivered straight into the room.
An air-to-air heat pump works on the same principle as an air source heat pump, but instead of heating water to feed radiators, it moves heat directly into the air in the room. The outdoor unit pulls warmth from outside air, compresses it to raise the temperature, and the indoor unit distributes it as warm, clean air. Even at -15°C outside, the system is still extracting and delivering heat efficiently.
In summer the cycle reverses. The indoor unit absorbs heat from the room and the outdoor unit expels it outside, acting as a full air conditioning system. One installation, two functions, all year round.
Because there is no water in the system, there is no pipework to run, no radiators to upgrade, and no cylinder to replace. For most homes that means a clean, fast installation that leaves your existing setup exactly as it is.

Heating and cooling in a single unit
£2,500
Government grant, live now
SK handles the application
The System

One unit. Every season.
A modern air-to-air heat pump does far more than heat a room. It is a complete climate system, handling warmth in winter, cooling in summer, air filtration all year, and dehumidification when you need it.
Government Grant
£2,500 BUS Grant. Now live for air-to-air.
Air-to-air heat pumps are now eligible for the government's Boiler Upgrade Scheme. The £2,500 grant is deducted directly from your installation invoice — there is nothing to claim back yourself and no paperwork for you to complete. SK handles the MCS documentation and BUS application as part of every installation.
What the grant covers:
- Residential properties in England and Wales
- Air-to-air heat pump supply and installation
- Applied directly to your invoice — no claim needed
- MCS certification included as standard
- Grant eligibility confirmed during your site survey

Before We Quote
Every installation starts with a free site survey.
Before we quote, an SK engineer visits your home to assess which system is right for you. We look at room sizes, the best positions for indoor units, cable routes, and your eligibility for the BUS Grant. You get a clear, fixed price before anything else happens.
- No oversized or undersized systems — sized to your actual rooms
- Optimal indoor unit placement for even heat distribution
- Running cost estimate before you commit to anything
- BUS Grant eligibility confirmed during the visit

Room mapping
We establish how many indoor units you need and exactly where they go for even warmth across your home.
Running cost estimate
A predicted annual running cost based on your home, before you commit to anything.
Grant eligibility
Your £2,500 BUS Grant eligibility is confirmed during the survey visit — no guessing.
Fixed-price quote
One clear price with the grant already deducted. No surprises on installation day.
Free and no obligation.
What Does It Cost?
From £1,975 with 0% VAT.
A single-room system starts from £1,975, including supply, installation, commissioning, and aftercare. Multi-room systems are priced based on the number of indoor units and the complexity of the installation. The £2,500 BUS Grant is applied directly to your invoice — no claim, no forms, no delay.
Price is affected by:
- Number of indoor units required
- System output (kW) relative to room size
- Complexity of the installation and cable run
- Whether any internal decoration work is needed around the indoor unit

We had storage heaters for years and the bills were enormous. Phil assessed the house and recommended two indoor units, one for the living room and one for the main bedroom. The difference in warmth and comfort has been remarkable, and we have cooling this summer too.

Our extension had no heating at all. SK fitted an air-to-air unit in one day, handled the BUS Grant paperwork, and it has been warm all winter. Incredibly tidy job and the noise level is virtually nothing.

I was sceptical about how warm it would get, but the survey gave us exact room-by-room estimates and it has matched them perfectly. The app control is brilliant and the cooling in summer is already getting use. Thoroughly recommend.
