Heat Pumps North East
We survey before we quote. That is why our systems outperform.
SK installs Vaillant aroTHERM Plus heat pumps across the North. Every installation starts with a ZeroDisrupt™ heat loss survey, so you know exactly what the system will cost to run before we start.

Analysis suggests homes with heat pumps appreciate in value compared to gas-heated equivalents.
How It Works
Modern heat pumps pushing the boundaries of efficiency.
An air source heat pump moves heat from outside air into your home using the same principle as a fridge, but in reverse. It produces 3-4 units of heat for every unit of electricity it uses, making it significantly cheaper to run than oil or LPG at current prices.
The Vaillant aroTHERM Plus has a peak COP of 5.4, meaning up to £5.40 of heat from every £1 of electricity at optimal conditions. Real-world seasonal performance across UK installs averages around 3.6, still roughly four times what a gas boiler delivers.
Modern heat pumps operate efficiently even at -20°C and are now the standard heating system for new homes across the UK.

Our Primary Product

Vaillant aroTHERM Plus
SK's primary product is the Vaillant aroTHERM Plus, a market-leading heat pump designed specifically for the UK climate.
Smart Controls
Vaillant sensoCOMFORT. Your heating, controlled from your phone.

SK installs the Vaillant sensoCOMFORT smart control with every aroTHERM Plus system. It connects to the myVaillant app so you can manage your heating and hot water from anywhere, and its built-in weather compensation means the system is always running at the most efficient setting for the conditions outside.
Most customers notice the difference immediately — the system stops hunting for temperature and simply holds it, quietly and efficiently.
Weather compensation
The outdoor sensor reads conditions in real time and adjusts the system automatically. No manual intervention needed.
myVaillant app
Set temperatures, change schedules, and track your energy use from your phone, wherever you are.
Multi-zone control
Manage different areas of your home independently. Bedrooms at a different temperature to living spaces.
Always at peak efficiency
Weather-compensating logic ensures the heat pump is never working harder than it needs to.

Before We Quote
The ZeroDisrupt™ heat loss survey.
Before any installation, SK carries out a ZeroDisrupt™ heat loss survey. Using AI-powered LiDAR scanning, the survey models your home’s actual heat loss room by room. This determines whether your existing radiators and pipework can stay, which in most cases they can, making the transition stress-free and more affordable.
- No oversized systems that short-cycle and waste energy
- No unnecessary radiator replacements
- Accurate running cost forecasts before you commit
- Systems that perform exactly as quoted

Correct system size
Sized to your home's actual heat loss, not a guess
Radiator assessment

Running cost forecast
Predicted annual costs before you commit to anything
Grant eligibility
BUS Grant eligibility confirmed during the survey
Free and no obligation.
What Does It Cost?
From £1,500 after the BUS Grant.
After the £9,000 BUS Grant, a typical installation starts from £1,500. The final price depends on your home's heat loss, the system size required, and whether any pipework or hot water cylinder work is needed.
Price is affected by:
- Your home's heat loss and the system size required
- Whether your hot water cylinder needs upgrading
- Whether any pipework modifications are needed
- Whether any radiators need replacing — though in most cases they don't

Had the team install a Vaillant aroTHERM Plus last autumn. The heat loss survey was thorough and the system was sized properly. Our radiators did not need replacing and the heating has been brilliant all winter. Highly recommended.

Coming off LPG I was nervous about the switch but Phil's Heat Geek training really shows. He modelled our heat loss properly and the system performed exactly as quoted. Running costs came in well under what we were spending on LPG.

First winter with the heat pump and we have not once been cold. Phil was right: the ZeroDisrupt™ survey meant we kept all our existing radiators. The BUS grant brought the cost right down and the install was done in a single day.
